The Spanish Bishops' Conference has published a document on social communications.
After a brief reflection on the meaning of Sunday Mass, the document offers some precautions to live broadcasts of Holy Masses on TV and via social media:
- Appropriate authorization from the diocesan bishop
- Need for technological and liturgical experts
- Respect for liturgical spaces: altar, ambo, seat
- Need for the presence of a real assembly
- Role of commentators
- Suspension of comments by users
- Opportunity to delete the video at the end of the celebration
- Periodic review of the live broadcast for possible improvements-
